Papericious December challenge

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Papericious project made for our December challenge.
I made the altered note book and embellished it with the inspirational colors from this mood board.
The notebook was covered with a cardstock from Ephemera collection and then I made a frame with Pretty Basics purple striped cardstock.
The front was embellished with more cardstock from Ephemera collection with die cut pieces from Pretty Basics purple dotted cardstock added on the top.
The sentiment was made with a part of  cardstock sentiment and a chipboard words from Scrapmatts.
Then two more chipboard frames were heat embossed and added over the cover.
For the bottom I added a die cut bike, Papericious fabric flower from Wedding kit and one embellishment metal button was also added over the cardstock die cut small doilies.
Some pink sequins from the same wedding kit were added on the top and I tied the wax pink string alongside the cover.

Let is snow layout with Scrapberry's

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first December Scrapberry's inspiration.
It's a winter season and when you get the most delicious new paper Winter collection you just go on and scrap your favorite Winter photos. Let's say that my photos are not from my home country as we don't even have a proper Winter here. So the photo is from our Italian Sky season a couple of years ago and yew, it was the best snow I've ever seen.
I used A Taste of Winter new , just released, collection and used the Paisley Frost  cardstock as the base. The snowflakes were added with light texture paste and a stencil all around the page. I added a kitchen square doily for the interest and then moved to 6*6'' same collection pad to layer the paper squares over the doily as shown.

Most of the embellishing of this page was made with die cuts and patterned paper from the same collection. The title was die cut and added on the bottom of the photo.

The upper embellishment cluster was made with some Scrapberrys embellishment, silk ribbon bow, metal flair and Cards sentiments.

More die cut trees and snowflakes were added on the other side of the page.

I hope that you like my Winter page and this adorable Winter Scrapberry's collection.

Holidays projects with Two Paper Divas

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first December post made for Two Paper Divas.
This time I am gong to share two projects that were already print published in Just Chrismas cards and Decorations magazine and I never shared them on- line.
So the first one  are those metal fancy bookmarks and I even have a tutorial for you to share.

Product list: Cardstock- Canvas Corp, Metal foil- Spellbinders, Stamps- Two Paper Divas Embossing folders- Sizzix, Alcohol inks, ink- Ranger, Adhesive- Beacon Adhesives  Zip Dry
Scrapbook glue, Ribbons- May Arts, Embossing Powders- WOW! Embossing Powders

Step by step: 1.Dry emboss two book mark shaped pieces of silver thick foil with Sizzix folders. 2. Paint over the embossed foil with a mix of three alcohol inks and add some alcohol blending solution for the fancy look. 3. Add matting using Canvas Corp cardstocks and glue the embossed foiled pieces over the cardstock with Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry glue. 4. Stamp the words with Two Paper Divas Holiday Bingo words 2 stamps on one bookmark, using black pigmented ink. Heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. 5. Make holes and add ribbons over each bookmark.

The second one is an altered  cross stitching hoop and as you can see I used the very same stamp set from TPD here too.
It's the most perfect sentiment set named Holiday Bingo Words 2  for all Winter projects and I just love to use it again and again.
I used Canvas Corp background papers and Paper House stickers together with Two Paper Divas stamped sentiment.

Gift box with IBS

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today with a small and lovely Gift box tutorial.
I know that this is a Christmas time and everyone makes Christmas presents.
But my present is for all times and can be given on Christmas day, but  it's totally general one and you can make it for any occasion.
Here is something about this project:
I love shrink plastic a lot, but I barely use as you need pretty big shapes or stamps for this product, unless you really want to see micro mini shapes after the heating.
So those new, just released, Inspired by Stamping roses from Garden Roses stamp set were just perfect for shrink plastic experiment.
Why is it an experiment? Because I used four different coloring mediums on stamped rose before I picked the best version for the final project.
So here is my tutorial for you:
1. Stamp two roses images over  white shrink plastic. As this was an experiment I tried both Memento and Ranger Archival black inks. The  upper roses are stamped with Memento and the bottom with Archival and I like Memento better. I know that the images are not very sharp. But as we are going to cut them from the plastic sheet, it really doesn't matter.

2. First use very cheap acrylic from Plaid to paint the images.

3. Now move to distress markers from Ranger and color the second pair of images.

4. The third medium used were Art Anthology dimensional paints (Sorbet and Velvet).

5. The last paint used was High Impact from Tattered Angels.

6. Let all paints dry and cut our the shapes. Use your heat gun and heat the images.
That's how they look when shrunk.
The upper left are distress markers painted images.
The upper right are Plaid acrylics painted images.
The lower left are Art Anthology painted images.
The lower left are Tattered Angels painted images.
As you can see the distress marker leaves a very pale color.
The bottom two have these bubbles that maybe interesting, but totally not perfect.
The only images I loved are the cheap plaid acrylic painted ones.

7. So as you can see I make a few more Plaid painted roses and arranged them over distress looked painted old metal box.
I used  Glossy Accents to glue the plastic roses and my small gift box was ready.

And here is a close- up to the roses again:

I really hope that you liked my tutorial and will try this  technique with more Inspired by Stamping stamps!
Any big stamp will work here!
