Flower power with Rubber Dance stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is my new layout made with a lot of Rubber Dance stamps.
When I have stamps that fit the photo, this is a time to take my ink pads and to stamp over the patterned paper to get this " new patterned paper" backgrounds.
So working with Antique Botanicals was just a pleasure!
Brown permanent ink and a lot of this set stamps and my layout was just done!

Cross the ocean with your courage: altered shadow canvas with Makin's Clay

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here again and this time with my Summer project.
I live in a very hot country, Israel. Actually we say that we have only two seasons here: Summer and a very hot summer. So for me every day a year is a summer day and to make a shore project is something that is very close to the heart as we live maybe 20 minutes ride to the shore. (Need to add that this very  pink girl  doesn't spend a second on the beach and is in a permanent struggle with her close family members about the issue). But then I do love  our sunset shores a lot. I even love sand and pebbles and to collect shells with my grand kids.  But this piece is not about collecting shells and about the lovely shores. It's about a courage to cross the ocean even when you lose a sight of the shore. So this is my tribute to anyone who needs a bit of courage to make a first step.Believe me, the next step is easier, and the next, and so on...
And now for the real thing: shadow  frame in the canvas
Product list:
Clay- white, natural, blue, earth tones colors (mostly Adobe Brown, Sand)
 Clay Push molds- Sea Shells
 Clay Texture sheets- Summer time
Other products:
8*8'' canvas
 Stamp- Inspired by Stamping
Ink- Clearsnap
Cork and cardstock stickers- Paper House Productions
Micro beads- Martha Stewart
Mist- Tattered Angels
Paints, varnish, powder- Earth Safe Finishes

Step by step instructions:
1. Use Light Adobe clay from Earth tones set with Cobblestone texture sheet from the Summer Time set. Then - without extra photos- use the same clay with Sand sheet . It was a bit difficult to release the wet clay from the texture sheets; so next time I  am thinking about using some mold release spray. Anyway, let them dry after they are released and then tear them to part and arrange one over another as stones and sand on the beach.

2. For the next step mix a lot of white or natural clay with Adobe Brown and Persimmon colors and make a few sea shapes. The colors may vary and can be totally mixed or partially mixed as it is with nature.Release the pieces and let them dry.

3. Mix about 1/2 of a small white clay package with just a bit of Blue clay. Don't mix it to the light blue color, but make this marble look with a partial mixing only. Arrange a big " ocean and sky" clay piece and cover it on the bottom with your " stones and sand" pieces. Make the arrangement random. Later I decided to add some wavy texture with another Texture Sheet and just re -arranged some small blue clay pieces. Take the clay landscape out of the canvas and let it dry.

4. In the meantime paint the inside of your canvas. I used a couple of Chalk It Up ESF paints and even made some splashes with water mist over the dirty paint brush. Anyway, most of the painted space will be covered by clay arrangement, so don't try to be a great painter.

5. And now I just glued the clay piece inside the painted canvas and added all those sea shapes that are already dry.
I added some color splashes over the shapes with ESF Ann Butler's  Iridescents powders in a couple of shades.  couple of cardstock and cork sea stickers were added over and inside the frame. The sand on the bottom was made with ESF Varnish and a mix of golden micro beads. And now is was a time  to add the stamped sentiment. First I tried to  stamp over the dry clay with permanent brown ink. And I tried. And wiped it and tried again and it was a stamping disaster. So I went to Plan B and stamped over white tissue.
Bingo! It's the best way as you can't even say where the tissue begins and where it  ends.
I used ESF Gel medium under and over the tissue and the piece was almost done.
Not yet! I  few teal mists over the piece were added and I was happy with the final result.

I hope that you like this art piece too and will try the same techniques too.

Book shaped gift card holder with IBS

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new altered project.
This time I decided to make a folded gift card holder with Meg's Garden new Forgotten Meadows collection .I also added some of my most favorite Inspired by Stamping stamps here.
First I made the cover with old recycled chipboards and wrapped them with a 12*12'' paper from the new collection. Then I made the fancy cover with heat embossed chipboard and Meg's Garden flowers, trinkets, lace and doily.
I added the trinket on the top of the frame and glued a charm bird over it.
All paper flowers were inked around the edges with brown distress ink and I added a hand cut  from other paper flowers over the basic paper on the cover.

And now for the inside of this gift card holder.
I glued another paper- this time from the journal kit as the size was a good fit over the wrapped cover. Then I added some stamped butterflies and a stamped sentiment - the same doily from the cover is seen here as it was folded to the half.
I made the right " book shaped" side with 4 printers papers, folded into accordion and arranged to the deep frame.
Then one single envelope from the kit was glued as a base for the gift card/cash money gift to put inside.
I used Inspired by Stamping Butterflies  set and stamped my beloved butterflies and the sentiment from this set on the left side back cover.

You can see the folded paper  on this photo:

And some close up to butterflies here:

The last close- up to the card/cash envelope:

I hope you like my project and with Meg's Garden gorgeous Forgotten Meadows and Inspired by Stamping lovely stamps you can make a lot of similar projects/ mini books/ cards or scrapbooking pages.

Love takes us home: art journal pages with Rubber Dance

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here and I welcome you  to my new art journal double paged spread made with A LOT of Rubber Dance stamps, but also with self made stencil, lots of mediums  and a lot of free hand doodling too.
It's almost impossible to make a tutorial about art pages; so I  just explain the working process and will give you some tips about this page.
First I picked the theme and it was Home. Then I found the saying that said " Life takes us to unexpected places, but Love takes us  home". From now on I picked colors (just black-grey and yellow) and home connected things. I made brick wall with texture paste and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. I was looking for  stencils with houses and didn't find any in my stash, So I die cut the very old Sizzix die strip with sky line and made my own stencil, the one that cross both pages in the middle. I outlined the houses with black pen and made a white paint circle over one house that was picked as the " HOME". That house was also stamped over with a heart  RD stamp from I heart art set.

Different stamped words (Rubber Dance A little Birdie set ) were stamped over the sky line strip and the last one was Love (that takes us home)
Some background RD stamps were widely used over the page (Mesh from New retro beach set, Splashes from Funny Birthday set, numbers from ATC Backgrounds 1, Diamonds background, Old compass from Travel set, to show us the way, Love always sentiment)
As the final part I added chipboard title on the right page and a lot of yellow mists around.

I really hope I inspired you to make your own art pages with a lot of gorgeous Rubber Dance stamps.

Watercolors with TPD

Hello my dear crafty friends! This is my third post made in June for Two Paper Divas.
This time I tried the new for me technique. I worked over Ranger Mixed Media cardstock with distress inks  over the stamps and it was just great watercolor result.  The new Button flowers set was a great match to this techinque and I made a mix of flowers and leaves (no buttons this time) with 3 distress inks. A few pearls were all I added to this card. The sentiment was stamped with my most used TPD stamp set named Live with Promise . What a great saying! This is just what we need from life.

I am sure I will use this technique again soon and I am sure I will use this delicious stamp set over and over.

Favorite Inspired by Stamping stamps 3d project

Hello my dear crafty friends !
Today I am going to share my new 3d project made with my favorite (for now) Butterflies new released  Inspired by Stamping  stamp set.
First I made the faux black wood base  using texture paste, mask and Kraft cardstock. I added  black paint over the dry paste and then some brown distress ink. The whole piece was cut and arranged to this arrows sign.
Then I added one single huge sticker in the middle and this sticker was a reason to use those lovely IBS butterfly stamps. I just had to add  more and more stamped butterflies over my arrows.
Each butterfly was stamped  2 or 3 times and layered to this similar to sticker shape.
I stamped them with pigmented ink and heat embossed with clear powder. Then I painted them with distress inks, added some glaze and fine glitters and embellished with rhinestones.

On the top arrow I added stamped sentiment from the very same set and my faux wooden project was all done.
